irritation
Monday, March 27

hey peeps. this post here is dedicated to my many complaints about you guys out there who call me ever so frequently just to ask me what homework there is, so you better read carefully.

look, i know i'm very efficient in class with paperwork and such, taking down the homework in my mind, but when it comes to doing the homework, up not up to mark. so when you idiotic people (i shall restrain myself from vulgarities) call me up and i hear a voice on the phone going, "clement, what homework do we have today?" it PISSES ME OFF!

for one, you people who call me to ask a stupid simple question such as he one mention above, it seriously wastes my time, and i am VERY ANNOYED that you cant even take note of such things yourself! secondly, i feel that this is taking advantage of the fact that i always try my best to please people.

this is what goes through my mind:
phone is answered, caller asks what the homework is for the day.
i feel super irritated that for yet another day, somebody has to call me to know the simple answer to this. then, i have a sort of moral conflict: i want to continue with my work, not tell them the homework and leave them to figure it out themself and teach them a lesson, and yet i will think of what they might think of me. i have worked hard to maintain my image of a prim and proper student.

i grudgingly tell them the homework for the day.
most of the time, the convo will end here with a 'thank you' from the other end which i can tell from the tone of voice isnt at all sincere, followed by the click of the other end putting down the phone. there isnt even a little bit of real thanks shown. but at least this is still better than the other case, whereby the person will ask, "huh? what _____(subject) worksheet?" then i have to describe to them the worksheet and after a long time they will finally say, "ooohhh, that one." then, it will be followed with the scenario mentioned above. again, no gratitude. after all this, i wonder if my time sacrificed is really worth what i get out of it.

so please never take advantage of the fact that i strive to please others. for those imbecile imbeciles that call me for homework, take down the homework in your diaries. or if you never can find the commitment to do so, make a mental note. sure, by the end of the school day it wont be on the first thing on your mind, making it hard to remember. just go through all the subjects we have in school. then you will be reminded of what homework there is for each subject. that's what i do. also, you can take a mental picture of the homework board everyday before you go home. for me, its very easy to do that as i'm the one who actually writes the homework down, and as we all know, writing makes is easier to remember stuff.

and just an extra note, just because i'm secretary doesnt mean i know everything. so if i don't know what we are supposed to bring or what's going to happen for a certain event, NEVER say, "but you're the secretary, you should know all this!" cos i know almost as much as you people do, and if the teacher ever tells me anything, it is either only for me to know or i will immediately tell the class about it.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
